Keeden Contracting was engaged for the widening and reconstruction of a rural stretch of regional road under RMS compliance. Scope included bulk earthworks, shoulder widening, pavement construction, and new roadside drainage. Traffic management plans were implemented to maintain safety and reduce disruption to local users. The project was delivered to specification, meeting all QA and environmental requirements under our ISO-certified systems.
Multi-Stage Earthworks: Earthmoving operations to shape the terrain for over 300 residential lots (across multiple stages), including geotechnical certifications and strict survey control to achieve design levels.
Road & Intersection Construction: Building of new local roads and cul-de-sacs for each stage, complete with asphalt pavement, kerb and gutter, and tie-ins to existing council roads. Major intersections were constructed or upgraded to connect the subdivision safely to the broader road network.
Stormwater Management: Installation of an extensive stormwater drainage network with underground pipelines, pits, and kerb inlet systems. Detention basins and open swales were constructed where required to manage runoff and protect the development from flooding and erosion.
Utilities Provision: Laying of water mains, sewer reticulation systems, electrical supply cabling, gas and communications conduits throughout each stage to service every lot. All infrastructure was built to local authority standards and inspected for quality compliance.
Collaboration & Compliance: Close coordination with the developer and local council at each stage, including passing all inspections (engineering, environmental, and planning) and adapting to any design modifications or regulatory requirements as the development progressed.
